On May 7-8, 2016, the 19th annual meeting of China Economic Geography Association- the academic symposium in regional economic development during the period of the '13th Five-year' was held in Nanning, Guangxi Province. Prof. Dr. Zhengping Shen, the Dean of Huaihai Development Research Institute and the Executive Dean of Belt & Road Institute, and Prof. Dr. Fangdao Qiu who is in the School of Geographical Survey & Urban and Rural Planning have participated the conference. It was announced in the symposium that Prof. Dr. Zhengping Shen serves as the 9th vice President of China Economic Geography Association and Prof. Dr. Fangdao Qiu is supplemented as the member of China Economic Geography Association.
