On October 19th, 2016, opening ceremony of Jiangsu 10th Academic Meeting for Social Science-the 1st Jiangsu think tank summit was held in Nanjing. Director of Propaganda Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Yanwen Wang attended the meeting and delivered a speech. More than 20 experts within and outside of the province gave excellent speeches.The meeting was sponsored by Propaganda Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Jiangsu Federation of Philosophy and Social Sciences, presented by Southeast University. Southeast University president Guangjun Zhang gave a speech at the opening ceremony. Former secretary of the party committee of Southeast University Guangyin Guo presided over the keynote speech of think tank summit. More than 200 people attended the meeting, including related principals and representatives of propaganda department of Jiangsu provincial party committee, Jiangsu Federation of Philosophy, Social Sciences and Southeast University, organizers for each session and of annual academic meeting in 2016, provincial key high-end and training think tanks, and chief expert of provincial decision-making consultation research base etc. 15 provincial key training think tank, including Belt & Road Institute of Jiangsu Normal University, were granted plaques. On behalf of Jiangsu Normal University president and Belt & Road Institute dean Prof. Guihong Hua got the plaque on behalf of the university. Dean of Huaihai Development Research Institute and vice dean of Belt & Road Institute Prof. Zhengping Shen, director of Research Office of Xuzhou Municipal People's Government, vice dean of Belt & Road Institute Hao Wang,vice director of Department of Social Sciences Yongle Li and lecturer of Huaihai Development Research Institute Hongwei Chen.

The director of Propaganda Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Yanwen Wang pointed out that provincial social sciences circle should understand and implement the spirit of general secretary Jinping Xi’s speech on 17th May. The social scientists should struggle to improve the level of social science.
