On May 8-9, 2017, executive director Prof. Tanvir Jafri of China Study Center and director Muhammad Haris of Division of Liasion visited Institute of the Belt and Road.

Prof. Tanvir Jafri introduced research achievements about One Belt & One Road and China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, and general information about exchange and cooperation with Tsinghua University and Fudan University. He also expressed the desire to conduct the comprehensive cooperation with Institute of the Belt and Road. Vice dean Prof. Zhengping Shen introduced key research fields, work plan in the near term and researchers’ major strength of the institute. He proposed to exchange visits between two institutes, jointly conduct the study of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and organize China-Pakistan Business Forum. Vice dean Prof. Shuhua Shi, associate Prof. Min Li, Dr. Weibo Chen and Dr. Jie Zhao attended the exchange activity.

Jiangsu Normal University and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology are in a good relationship with a long history. Two universities initiated jointly the 5th China-Pakistan Business Forum. Prof. Hong Cen, secretary of the CPC Committee of Jiangsu Normal University, and her delegation visited COMSATS Institute of Information Technology. The cooperation and exchange between two universities has entried a new stage. The visit of Prof. Jafri deepened the cooperation between two sides. We believe that we can get more influential achievements through hard work.
